The Swedish delegation comprises companies, organisations, and public authorities representing world-class expertise in technology, policy, and collaboration. Led by Business Sweden, the delegation’s mission is to promote Swedish innovations and partnerships that can accelerate global climate action during the COP30 negotiations.
A panel discussion during the press conference highlighted Sweden – The Climate Matchmaker for Global Action, a new report showing how Swedish actors from both the public and private sectors can contribute to faster global decarbonisation through cooperation and innovation.
“Sweden holds a unique position as a bridge builder between nations’ climate challenges and the solutions that Swedish companies can provide”, says Jan Larsson, CEO of Business Sweden.
“The biggest obstacle to the transition is not a lack of solutions, financing, or research — but rather a lack of global political leadership and effective policy instruments to scale up solutions at the pace required”, says Emma Modéer Wiking, Sustainability Manager at Business Sweden.
