Held on 9 June, the seminar will focus on accelerating the implementation of Goal 14 by conserving, restoring and sustainably managing marine and coastal ecosystems. In the presence of HRH Crown Princess Victoria, Sweden’s Minister for Climate and Environment, Romina Pourmokhtari, and France’s Minister for Ecological Transition, Agnès Pannier-Runacher, the event will bring together leading research institutes, pioneering companies, and international partners.

Two expert panels will explore international collaboration and present scalable, Swedish-led innovations. These include circular technologies such as phosphorus recovery from wastewater, electric hydrofoil ferries, and energy solutions powered by ocean forces—wave energy, tidal currents, floating wind and solar. Together, they represent tangible pathways toward healthier oceans and resilient coastal communities.

The seminar is part of a broader Swedish business delegation to UNOC3 and features seven cutting-edge Swedish companies:

  • Candela
  • Minesto
  • Ragn-Sells
  • Seaflex
  • Seatwirl
  • SKF Marin
  • Surfcleaner

Together with Sweden’s forward-looking companies and thought leaders, Business Sweden is committed to accelerating climate solutions that drive the global green transition. At UNOC3, we will highlight Swedish business innovations that can foster sustainable growth, job creation and a more prosperous, climate-resilient future.

Sweden is home to many innovative companies developing sustainable solutions to protect and care for our oceans and coasts. By highlighting their expertise at UNOC, we aim to spark new collaborations and help advance progress on global sustainability goal 14”, said Annika Stål, Sweden’s Trade Secretary in France.
