On 7-8 September, S-Beauty Matchmaking Days will be held in Stockholm, where export-ready Swedish beauty brands will meet selected international buyers, distributors, and retail decision-makers from key markets across Europe and the United Arab Emirates. S-Beauty is an initiative and a shared positioning platform for the Swedish beauty industry, built on Sweden’s strengths in innovation, functionality, sustainability, and a natural approach to health, wellbeing, and beauty. The initiative forms part of the effort to establish S-Beauty as an international concept, with Swedish innovation, sustainability, health, and quality as core elements of the offering.
"With S-Beauty Matchmaking Days, we want to create tangible business opportunities for Swedish beauty brands, increase exports, and strengthen awareness of Sweden as a leading innovation nation within beauty and health. At the same time, we aim to establish S-Beauty as a clear international concept and build long-term relationships between Swedish companies and global buyers," says Franca Lippitz, Senior Project Manager and Head of Consumer Goods at Business Sweden.
Business Sweden has been tasked by the Government to support the international expansion of Swedish companies and contribute to more concrete business dialogues in priority markets. The initiative is carried out by Swedish beauty brands gathered under the S-Beauty concept, while the Swedish Institute has been responsible for developing the communication materials.
During the event, participants from Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, and the United Arab Emirates will come together. Participating companies will have the opportunity to present their offerings through pre-booked one-to-one meetings and follow-up discussions.
S-Beauty Matchmaking Days is the result of a clear government ambition to strengthen Swedish exports and create new international business opportunities for Swedish companies. The initiative is based on dialogues held between Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Benjamin Dousa and representatives of the Swedish beauty industry regarding the need to strengthen Swedish beauty exports and increase the sector’s international visibility.
Media invitation
Media representatives are invited to attend the opening ceremony, which will last approximately one hour. The programme will then continue with matchmaking meetings between Swedish beauty brands and international buyers. Opportunities to interview participating companies, international buyers, and representatives of the organising organisations will be available throughout the morning and around lunchtime.
Date and time: 7 September, 09:00 - approximately 13:00
Venue: Villa Källhagen, Djurgårdsbrunnsvägen 10, Stockholm
Representatives from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Business Sweden, and the Swedish Institute will participate in the opening ceremony. A communication toolkit developed by the Swedish Institute will also be presented, with the aim of strengthening the international image of Swedish beauty and providing Swedish stakeholders with a shared language for describing what distinguishes Swedish beauty.
