Try Swedish invites Swedish foods & beverage companies to the biggest food & beverage trade show in Asia, FOODEX Japan, 2027. Participating companies have opportunities to meet key stakeholders to access the market and accelerate the business expansion in Asia.

The Japanese food and beverage market offers an enticing prospect for Swedish companies, with its sizable population, high purchasing power, and import-dependent nature. Business Sweden has organised Try Swedish national pavilion at FOODEX for more than five consecutive years.

More than 73,000 qualified visitors in FOODEX 2025 from both Japan and Asian countries. More Swedish foods and beverage companies have expanded business by the consequence of this trade fair. FOODEX Japan attracts attention from both Japan and other major markets in Asia. 

Timeline

  • 10am September 29th: In person in Stockholm or online webinar
  • September - October 2026: Registration for Swedish company participation
  • October: Product visuals, information submission due 
  • November: Booth design finalized
  • December: Sample shipment to Japan
  • 9-12th March, 2027: FOODEX Japan 2027 takes place at Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo, Japan

Event information

  • Meet qualified Japanese/Asian traders, wholesalers, retailers and food service buyers for full 4 days
  • Open space stand in Swedish national pavilion. Space for 2 representatives from participating companies. Overall pavilion size in 54 - 72 m2. 
  • B2B networking reception inviting existing participating companies’ clients or meet new potential clients/partners. The venue will be confirmed at a later stage, we expect approximately 100 guests.
  • On-site communication and interpretation support will be available throughout the four days.
  • Swedish Ambassadors greeting participating Swedish companies at Try Swedish pavilion (Tentative)
  • Try Swedish Open kitchen performance using participating companies’ products.
