Business Sweden has been allocated SEK 34 million for targeted initiatives in 2025. The assignment runs from 2025 to 2030 and focuses, among other things, on implementing an export promotion programme, identifying high-volume export opportunities for Swedish food products, appointing food export managers in selected markets, and advancing the strategic positioning of Swedish food value propositions.
“Swedish food companies have significant potential to grow internationally. With this updated mandate under the Food Strategy, Business Sweden aims to support even more companies in entering new markets. The various components of the Food Strategy align well with Business Sweden’s broader mission, with a clear focus on growth in export markets,” says Jan Larsson, CEO of Business Sweden.
“The updated strategy places a stronger emphasis on volume exports and adopts a broader perspective on the strategic positioning of Swedish food and beverages, while continuing to focus on delivering an export programme for exporting companies. We look forward to further developing new markets and creating activities that support the internationalisation of Swedish industry,” says Maria Kärnerud, Head of the food initiative at Business Sweden.
