Business Sweden is organizing a full-day conference, company visits, and networking opportunities within relevant focus areas such as green transition, mobility, healthcare, and sustainable mining. Participating in these events are H.M. King and Queen, government representatives, and over 350 business representatives from Sweden and Mexico. The purpose of this high-level conference is to further strengthen trade and investment collaborations and identify new areas of collaboration as well as encourage continued investments in both countries.

"The state visit to Mexico is an important step in deepening the trade relations between our countries, and the interest from the Swedish business community has been significant. The business delegation at the Business Forum includes both large industrial companies and smaller startup companies. This demonstrates the wide range of Swedish companies turning their attention to Mexico," says Jan Larsson, CEO of Business Sweden.

"We see a high interest from Swedish companies in Mexico, so it is a very suitable time for a state visit and a larger Business Forum. Many of the Swedish companies participating in the conference have a strong sustainability focus and often elevate development to the next level with their activities in the country," says Jenny Engström, Trade Secretary in Mexico.

The program on March 13 begins with opening remarks by H.M. King, Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Johan Forssell, and Raquel Buenrostro. Following that, panel discussions and conversations will be held on green transition, mobility, healthcare, and sustainable mining, focusing on how Sweden and Mexico can further strengthen their trade cooperation. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will also be signed during the conference within the mining industry.
