What is a world expo?

A World Expo is the world’s largest international exhibition — a unique platform where countries, companies, and organisations come together to share ideas, showcase innovation, and build lasting partnerships. Through exhibitions, conferences, and networking events, Expos promote international collaboration and drive progress on shared global challenges.

Pavilion architecture and design

Designed by Rimond Architects, the Nordic Pavilion is a 1,200 m2, 17-metre-high wooden structure that exemplifies timeless, sustainable design. It includes a joint Nordic exhibition, a shop, a roof terrace with a café and Nordic garden, as well as conference and meeting facilities.

Looking ahead

Expo 2025 Osaka was more than a showcase, it was a strategic investment in Sweden’s global positioning and a powerful platform for international business engagement. The success of Sweden’s participation was made possible through the active involvement of our partners and companies, whose contributions helped shape meaningful dialogues, forge new collaborations, and open doors to future opportunities.

As we look toward Expo 2030 Riyadh, we invite ambitious and forward-looking companies to join us in continuing this journey, strengthening Sweden’s role on the global stage and driving sustainable growth through innovation, partnership and shared purpose..
