We are currently inviting applications for Swedish brands sourcing from these countries or technology companies offering solutions for RMG and textile manufacturers in Bangladesh and Pakistan to be part of this unique platform during 2025, with an initial delegation trip planned for September 2025.

As the global fashion industry undergoes a pivotal transformation, Sweden is stepping forward to support sustainable growth in two of the world's leading Ready-Made Garment (RMG) producers: Bangladesh and Pakistan. With rising environmental demands, policy shifts, and an urgent need for decarbonization, the sector is at a crossroads.

The RMG sector is of high strategic and economic importance for both Pakistan & Bangladesh in terms of trade, growth, and employment opportunities. Multiple external factors including emergence of greener consumer and stricter regulations across key consumer market along with internal net zero targets of sourcing companies and resource constraints demands faster shift towards sustainable production practices. By marrying innovation with policy and global collaboration, the sector will set a new benchmark for sustainable fashion and textiles, and open up opportunities for Swedish companies to shape the industry of tomorrow.

 Areas of focus:

  1. Introduce sustainable solutions in Renewable energy, energy efficiency and water conservation to help GHG reduction and resource efficiency
  2. Promote best practices in Textile Waste recycling, circularity, and circular economy to support transition to low carbon manufacturing
