Flower – Flexible renewable power

Flower is a next-gen energy company enabling the energy system of tomorrow. By combining a market-leading portfolio of flexible energy assets – including solar and wind farms, EV chargers, and large-scale battery systems – with AI-powered optimization, Flower mitigates the risks of renewable variability. In addition to being a Nordic market leader in battery storage trading and optimization, Flower became the sector’s first actor to enter a wind power PPA (Power Purchase Agreement). The agreement, signed with SEB Nordic Energy’s portfolio company Locus Energy, gave Flower control over 11 wind farms totalling 180 GWh in Sweden. Flower hedges the wind farms against imbalance costs (which can reach up to €10,000/MWh during extreme periods) and offers protection against low or negative electricity prices by curtailing wind production when necessary. Ultimately, through Flower's technology and flexible portfolio, variable power like wind can be transformed into electricity that’s predictable, reliable and affordable.
