Energy

In southern part of Sweden, where regions are facing major grid challenges, Ingrid Capacity developed a portfolio 14 battery sites with a capacity of 211MW/211MWh, that was built and commissioned in under a year from financial investment decision - an exceptionally fast timeline for energy infrastructure. The projects enhance grid flexibility, reduce curtailment, and enable increased integration of intermittent, fossil-free energy. The portfolio contributes to lowering territorial emissions by supporting the green transition.

The projects enable frequency regulation, instantaneous system balancing, and storage of weather-dependent electricity that would otherwise go unused. This strengthens grid resilience and helps meet future energy demands, with national electricity consumption expected to double by 2045. Ingrid Capacity’s solution supports electrification, a key factor in reaching EU and national climate goals while helping reduce electricity prices and grid bottlenecks. Success factors include development expertise and scalable design that allows for replication across regions, paving the way for a resilient, carbon-neutral energy system.
