The South Korean economy ranks as the world's 10th largest, with several globally leading industries. South Korean companies are particularly critical in areas such as battery technology for the global transition.
On October 10, the delegation will visit Gothenburg, conducting site visits to locations related to mobility clusters, including Lindholmen, Mobility X-lab, Asta Zero, and Volvo Cars, among others.
On October 11, a high-level roundtable discussion between South Korea and Sweden will take place at Operaterrassen in Stockholm. The event will be attended not only by the South Korean delegation but also by relevant stakeholders from the Swedish industry and mobility ecosystem. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed to further strengthen collaboration between the countries in future mobility and the battery industry. The signing ceremony will include representatives from the companies, as well as Jan Larsson, CEO of Business Sweden, and Marn-ki Jeong, Vice Chairman of KITA.
Companies participating in the event at Operaterrassen include ABB, Volvo, Polestar, Novo Energy, Candela, Epiroc, Quintus, Telenor Connexion, Cake, as well as organizations such as RISE, Vinnova, and the European Battery Alliance.
In total, 15 companies are part of the South Korean delegation.
