Artificial intelligence as an accelerator in the green transition in focus during the Green Transition Summit in Silicon Valley

On the 22nd February, Business Sweden, in collaboration with the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA), will gather a large business delegation at the high-level conference Green Transition Summit in Palo Alto, California. The summit is organised in conjunction with the official visit of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel to California, with the aim of bringing together Swedish and American stakeholders from business, academia, and politics.

The purpose of the conference is to deepen the collaboration between Sweden and the Unites States and promote innovation in areas such as artificial intelligence and exponential technologies, electrification of the transport and energy sectors, and to discuss how policies can be more effective to enable the green transition.

Jan Larsson, CEO of Business Sweden, states:

"The United States is a global leader in technological innovation and entrepreneurship, and Sweden is one of the world's most innovative countries. The Green Transition Summit aims to strengthen the already deep collaboration between our countries, and the goal is clear – to create conditions for innovative solutions and collaborations that enable the green transition", says Jan Larsson.

Over 100 companies and organisations are participating, including leaders from ABB, Berkeley SkyDeck, Candela, Ericsson, Google, Mellby Gård, Atlas Copco, Salesforce, Scania, Telenor Connexion, Volvo Group, Viable Cities, and more. Sweden's Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, Johan Forssell, is also participating, as well as the Lieutenant Governor of California, Eleni Kounalakis
