These are described as some of the most consequential documents of our time, as their implementation is essential for the environment, humanity, and the economy. The next decade – and the next round of NDCs – will be decisive.
The report Sweden - The Climate Matchmaker for Global Action is the first-of-its-kind. Built on robust science and developed in collaboration with Sweden’s non-negotiating delegation to COP30, it brings together perspectives from leading companies, government agencies, academia, and civil society.
With the ambition of serving as climate matchmakers – connecting global climate challenges with proven solutions – the report highlights available innovations and enabling conditions for NDC implementation, sector by sector.
The report has been developed to assist countries in:
- Matching local climate challenges with existing solutions
- Making their NDCs more actionable and investable
- Increasing their attractiveness for sustainable investments
Sweden delivers proven technologies, financial tools, policy learnings, and capacity building that strengthen resilience and competitiveness worldwide. To scale implementation, long-term targets, fit-for-purpose policies, and enabling conditions are needed to drive investment in solutions that accelerate deployment aligned with the Paris Agreement.
