Customs duties may apply when exporting physical goods outside the EU. No customs duties are charged when exporting services. The duties and charges that apply in the importing country depend on the type of goods you export and the destination country. In addition to customs duties, other import-related charges may also apply.

To complete a supplier declaration, you need to be able to demonstrate that the product originates in the EU in accordance with the rules in the EU’s free trade agreements. Rules of origin vary both between different products and between different agreements. It is therefore important to determine which rules apply to your specific product and the agreements the declaration is intended to cover.

Launching a global webshop can involve risks if you do not have a clear overview of the rules that apply in different markets.
