The Czech Republic continues to offer strong opportunities for Swedish companies, supported by a competitive industrial base, a strategic location in Central Europe, and close integration with regional supply chains. Stable market conditions, EU membership, and well-developed infrastructure continue to make the country an attractive market across several sectors.

At the same time, companies report operational and administrative challenges. Labour market regulation, licensing procedures, and low levels of digitalisation are viewed as key constraints, while some companies also point to administrative complexity and regulatory friction.

Cooperation between Sweden and the Czech Republic remains strong within sectors such as manufacturing, industrial equipment, automotive, healthcare, construction, and professional services. The country’s industrial ecosystem and regional role continue to create opportunities for Swedish companies offering innovative and sustainable solutions.

Competitiveness in the Czech Republic is closely linked to cost efficiency, brand awareness, customer collaboration, and strong market positioning. The Swedish brand continues to be associated with quality, reliability, sustainability, and innovation.

The Czech Republic is widely regarded as a stable and well-functioning market with strong operational conditions, particularly in terms of safety, infrastructure, and access to suppliers and service providers. However, companies also point to regulatory and administrative bottlenecks as areas where further improvements could strengthen the business environment.
