As one of Asia’s most competitive and globally connected economies, Singapore continues to offer significant opportunities for Swedish companies. Strong infrastructure, political stability, advanced digitalisation, and a transparent regulatory environment make Singapore an attractive market for regional headquarters, advanced manufacturing, technology, sustainability, and professional services.

At the same time, companies report a more demanding operating environment. Global trade uncertainty, US tariff developments, labour market regulations, and access to specialist talent continue to affect business operations and long-term planning.

Cooperation between Sweden and Singapore remains strong within sectors such as clean energy, industrial transformation, healthcare, mobility, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, and digital technologies. Singapore’s continued investments in innovation, sustainability, AI infrastructure, and regional connectivity continue to create opportunities for Swedish companies offering sustainable and high-value solutions.

Competitiveness in Singapore is closely linked to cost efficiency, partnerships and local relationships, customer collaboration, sales competence, and brand awareness. The Swedish brand continues to be associated with innovation, sustainability, quality, and reliability.

Singapore is widely regarded as an attractive and stable market with strong infrastructure, high levels of personal safety, and a highly developed financial system. At the same time, companies continue to point to labour market regulations and access to specialist personnel as ongoing challenges.
