Around 60 Swedish companies, government agencies, academic institutions and organisations
are taking part. The delegation will run in parallel with the state visit of Their Majesties the King
and Queen to Poland, which will also include several Swedish ministers.
The programme includes business forums, networking sessions with local stakeholders,
thematic seminars and study visits, all focused on generating concrete business opportunities
and partnerships.
“The state visit confirms the strong ties between Sweden and Poland. With a broad business
delegation, we want to strengthen cooperation in total defence, capital access and talent
attraction, as well as in other areas. It is particularly important to create better conditions for
small and medium-sized- enterprises, which make up almost half of the companies in the
delegation. I am therefore pleased that this topic will be on the agenda during the state visit,”
says Jan Larsson, CEO of Business Sweden.
“I am pleased that such a large business delegation is visiting Poland, as the country has one of
the fastest growing- economies in the EU and is a key player in strengthening Europe’s
competitiveness. Swedish companies stand to gain significantly from being present and
developing their business in Poland,” says Nikki Brandt, Sweden’s Trade Commissioner for
Poland at Business Sweden.
The programme begins in Warsaw. Highlights include the Swedish–Polish Total Defence Forum: “Stronger Together”, which will explore how Sweden and Poland can reinforce societal
resilience, deepen cooperation in total defence and advance collaboration on critical
infrastructure. This is followed by a dedicated meeting at the Warsaw Stock Exchange focused
on investment and capital markets.
In Warsaw, the conference Scaling Innovation for Europe: Sweden and Poland in Partnership will
also take place, examining how the countries’ innovation ecosystems can be more closely
connected through talent attraction, entrepreneurship and stronger cooperation between
academia, industry and the public sector. The delegation concludes in Gdańsk with a study visit
to Gdańsk Science and Technology Park (GSTP), and with the Baltic Sea Security Talks, where
discussions will centre on enhanced Swedish–Polish- collaboration for stability and security in
the Baltic Sea region.
