What are Regional Sustainability Centres?
The Regional Sustainability Centres are regional hubs for coordination and collaboration among Team Sweden partners. Each centre supports sustainable initiatives and projects that align development needs with Swedish expertise and commercial strengths.
The centres are built on close collaboration between Team Sweden actors.
They act as regional nodes, connecting countries, stakeholders and initiatives to ensure efforts are well- coordinated, demand-driven and focused on measurable impact, in terms of both development outcomes and trade opportunities.
Why Regional Sustainability Centres?
The Regional Sustainability Centres help identify concrete opportunities for development and trade. They support the development of sustainable investments and partnerships by aligning local priorities with Swedish expertise, promoting responsible business practices and enabling projects with long-term economic and development impact.
The centres are designed to:
- Connect local needs with Swedish expertise, creating opportunities where Swedish solutions can add real value
- Enable sustainable investments and projects by supporting early project development and long-term viability
- Promote responsible and sustainable business practices in complex and emerging markets
- Maximise impact by linking sustainability ambitions with commercially viable solutions
Together, this creates better conditions for scalable projects, long-term partnerships and sustainable growth, benefiting partner countries as well as Swedish business.
How do the Regional Sustainability Centres work?
The Regional Sustainability Centres support the development of sustainable business and investment opportunities by working closely with local partners, international stakeholders and Swedish companies.
The focus is on developing viable, scalable initiatives that contribute to sustainable growth, resilience and lasting development impact in complex and emerging markets.
