This joint initiative between Swedfund and Business Sweden is designed to help companies turn opportunities in Ukraine into long-term, sustainable business partnerships.

With Business Sweden’s on-the-ground presence in Kyiv, participating SMEs gain direct access to market insights, networks, and partnerships that support both commercial success and Ukraine’s economic recovery.
Why apply?
By joining the Swedfund Business Accelerator, Swedish SMEs can:
- Receive financial support covering up to 49% of total project costs (for both goods and services).
- Contribute to Ukraine’s recovery while building sustainable, long-term commercial partnerships.
- Leverage Swedfund and Business Sweden’s local presence in Kyiv, gaining access to expertise, networks, and partnership opportunities.
What the support can be used for
The programme is designed to strengthen sustainable, profitable business development in Ukraine. Support may be granted for:
- Investments in equipment and machinery
- Knowledge transfer, training, and capacity-building for local partners
- Demonstrators and technology showcasing
For projects involving equipment, the supported equipment must be donated to the local partner at the end of the project period. All supported projects must be based on clear commercial partnerships between Swedish SMEs and Ukrainian privately owned companies.
Who can apply?
- To be eligible, companies must:
- Be a Swedish limited liability company (aktiebolag)
- Have fewer than 250 employees and
- turnover below €50m, or
- a balance sheet total below €43m
- Demonstrate sufficient financial and staffing capacity to execute the project
Every project must also include a local Ukrainian partner, such as a distributor, supplier, joint venture partner, or subsidiary.
