About the delegation
Japan is making a strong push to re‑establish itself as a global leader in semiconductor innovation and manufacturing. Large public investments and major factory projects are driving rapid development across the country.
As part of this development, Japan is also looking beyond its borders for trusted international partners. While Japan remains strong in materials and manufacturing, there is growing demand for solutions related to fab efficiency, advanced packaging, yield ramp‑up, and sustainability.
In September 2026, Business Sweden is organising the first Swedish Semiconductor Delegation to Japan. The three‑day delegation offers Swedish companies the opportunity to introduce their solutions to Japanese companies, chip manufacturers, research centres, and other key stakeholders. Participants will also gain first‑hand insight into where the main opportunities in the Japanese semiconductor market are emerging.
