Building a regional base for growth

Fogmaker International AB, a global supplier of high-pressure water mist fire suppression systems, saw significant potential across Southeast Asia’s high-growth sectors, including transport, mining, and construction. To better support customers and enhance visibility, the company needed a local presence — but navigating Thailand’s complex regulatory landscape required experienced, on-the-ground support.

Fogmaker partnered with Business Sweden to manage the entire setup of its representative office in Bangkok. Acting as project manager, Business Sweden supported:

Since establishing the representative office, Fogmaker has significantly strengthened its footprint in Southeast Asia. Customers and partners now recognise the company’s long-term commitment to the market.

“We are still in a building phase but it is clear that we are noticed more and that we are closer to the entire SEA market – we have clients looking up and saying ‘that is good that you have representation here’,” says Rönnqvist.

Business Sweden also introduced Fogmaker to the Thai–Swedish Chamber of Commerce, helping expand its local network and visibility.
