As Latin America’s largest economy and one of the world’s largest consumer markets, Brazil continues to offer significant opportunities for Swedish companies. Strong demand across sectors such as healthcare, industrial equipment, mining, mobility, energy, and digital services makes Brazil a strategically important market for Swedish businesses with long-term ambitions.

At the same time, companies report a more complex business environment. High interest rates, inflationary pressures, regulatory complexity, bureaucracy, taxation, and political uncertainty continue to affect competitiveness and operational performance. Concerns related to customs procedures, compliance requirements, and economic volatility also remain significant for many companies.

Cooperation between Sweden and Brazil remains strong across sectors such as healthcare, industrial manufacturing, mining, mobility, energy, telecommunications, and professional services. Brazil’s continued investments in infrastructure, digitalisation, energy transition, and industrial modernisation continue to create opportunities for Swedish companies offering innovative and sustainable solutions.

Competitiveness in Brazil is closely linked to cost efficiency, customer collaboration, sales competence, and long-term market presence. The Swedish brand continues to be associated with quality, innovation, sustainability, and reliability.

Brazil is widely regarded as a strategically important market with strong industrial capabilities, a large domestic market, and growing demand for advanced solutions. However, companies also point to regulatory complexity, taxation, inflationary pressure, and political uncertainty as ongoing challenges.
