Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, will showcase global innovations and ideas to address pressing challenges through international collaboration. Sweden, alongside Denmark, Finland, Iceland, and Norway, will participate in a joint Nordic Pavilion, highlighting shared values of trust, sustainability, and innovation.

In 2025, the program goes into the deal pursuit phase, focusing on qualifying and pursuing large-scale healthcare projects with business potential for the participating companies.

In 2025, the program will continue to pursue a large-scale EV transformation system with business potential for participating companies. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Business Sweden and PLN, the Indonesian utility company, aims to push forward a pilot project of Swedish charging infrastructure towards larger business opportunities for Hitachi Energy and ABB. Furthermore, both Scania and Volvo will be offering electric busses and have significant interests in a large scale EV-transformation.

The Nordic region’s expertise within renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy storage and smart grid technologies will be highlighted during the Nordic Energy Days at Expo 2025 Osaka.

During the joint Nordic Life Science days at Expo 2025 Osaka, the Nordic countries will showcase their approach to global healthcare challenges. The aim is to strengthen the Nordic brand in Japan and create commercial value. The Nordic Health Summit, held alongside Expo 2025 Osaka, features a Life Science programme for Nordic startups and scaleups, connecting them with Japanese investors and industry.
