About the seminar

For Swedish companies, this creates a clear window of opportunity in three of the world’s most advanced industrial markets. Germany plans investments of approximately SEK 5,800 billion through to 2036. South Korea is building a semiconductor cluster backed by private investments of around SEK 5,300 billion, alongside a national growth fund of roughly SEK 1,300 billion over five years. Japan is advancing its green transition through GX, with more than SEK 11,000 billion in public–private investment projected over the next decade, while also strengthening AI, semiconductors and defence capabilities.

The upcoming seminar will bring together Sweden’s Trade Commissioners in South Korea, Japan and Germany to discuss where in the value chains opportunities are emerging, how companies can access them and how Swedish businesses can position themselves as long-term partners.

Positioning Swedish companies for new global partnerships

At the intersection of climate, digitalisation and security lies a core strength of many Swedish companies: energy-efficient solutions, advanced industrial technology, system integration, test environments, digital services and security solutions. For many, the question is no longer whether South Korea, Japan and Germany relevant, but where in the value chains they can create the greatest value and how to build a position as a reliable, long-term partner.

The seminar is based on this shift and focuses on concrete entry points and positioning choices in three markets that are simultaneously investing, transforming and reshaping their strategic partnerships.
